Martha B. Ambler, CPA, is chief financial officer. Before joining the staff in 1999, she was controller for Wilbanks, Smith & Thomas Asset Management. She previously was controller for Virginia Opera and worked for Roberts and Speece, CPAs. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master's degree in accounting from George Washington University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Tidewater Chapter of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
